Hantsweb Awards 2004
NJRD won the Accessibility catagory in the 2004 Hantsweb awards for the site he designed for Westgate Support + Care.
Hantsweb Awards 2004 winners were announced at a celebrity ceremony held on 9 November at Intech, Hampshire's Science & Discovery centre, presided over by guest of honour, Mrs Mary Fagan JP, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire. Guest presenters included Chris Packham, Trevor Baylis OBE and Judy Goodlet.
The Westgate Support & Care website won the accessibilty catagory. The judges voted the site the most accessible site in the Hampshire and Isle of Wright area of the sites nominated.
What the judges said
"Exemplary. The site designers have pulled out all the stops to ensure that disabled people are able to enjoy exactly the same information experience as everyone else. Local authorities throughout the UK would do well to follow this example."
The judges for the accessibility category where Julie Howell. Digital Policy Development Manager for the RNIB. (Royal National Insitute for the Blind). The second judge was Pam Willingham who had been studying the inaccessibility of websites.
Hantsweb Awards 2005
NJRD won the accessibility catagory in the 2005 awards as well for the site Winchester CAB.
The Winchester CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) website won the accessibilty catagory. The judges voted the site the most accessible site in the Hampshire and Isle of Wright area of the sites nominated.
What the judges said
"A well balanced website that proved easy to use with assistive technologies. The site has clear, helpful links and page titles. Thought has clearly gone into making this essential community resource available to all citizens."
The judges for the accessibility category where Julie Howell. Digital Policy Development Manager for the RNIB. (Royal National Insitute for the Blind). And Léonie Watson who leads the Accessibility Research Programme at Nomensa, pioneering accessible design technology for the Internet.

This year NJRD have got 3 sites that have made it into the last 10 shortlist.
NJRD has got one site which has made it into the final - Winchester CAB.
